US Stocks Drop Amid Earnings Anxiety; Energy,Bank Shares Slide .The Dow Jones Industrial Average was lower by about 151 points as 29 of its 30 components fell. The S&P 500, dragged lower by losses of about 2% or more in its financial, energy and basic-materials sectors, dropped 2.1%. The Nasdaq Composite Index fell about 1.8%.
